The Guvernator family of five is soon to be six. Any day now (but don’t hold your breath) Chris and I will head to India to bring home our newest edition, Laxmi Priya. She will be four years old in May and currently lives in Orissa, India. She has a beautiful smile, a spunky personality and a silly sense of humor. She's also significantly visually impaired. Laxmi Priya was born with a condition called Anophthalmia/Microphthalmia which basically means she has one little eye and her other eye is missing.
We began our paperwork last January and it is now in the court system in India waiting for the judge to grant final approval of our adoption. We hope to be traveling this spring and plan to be in India for approximately 10 days.
As you might know, our family has been blessed once by the birth of our son Quint and twice by the adoptions of Luba and Lana. For us adoption has become a spiritual journey. If you are interested in why our family chose to adopt again or would like to follow our journey, check back for frequent updates.
Congratulations Guvernator family!!
ReplyDeleteWe, too, a french couple are waiting for guardianship for our little princess in Orissa She is 17 months old.
We will follow your blog & this will make us support the wait.
Regards
