Orissa

Our flight to Orissa was slightly delayed but since we didn't have a connecting flight that was "no problem" (a statement heard many times a day here.) Air India is the nicest and most hospitable airline I have ever flown and the female flight attendants wear beautiful sari's.

Orissa is a beautiful city. It's on the east coast of India and has the feel of old south in the US, with beautiful palm trees and lush foliage. The air is slightly more humid than Delhi, think Savannah Georgia in the summer.

Once we arrived at our hotel we took a much needed nap. After our rest we met a new friend introduced to us by our friends who recently adopted from here. He's an amazing person and his help and friendship are a real blessing to us. He is going to arrange for us to have a driver during our stay and accompany us to the orphanage and the passport office.

Tomorrow morning we meet our little girl!
