Channing and Priya are home after a long day of taxi rides, plane flights, customs and immigration. They were both smiling ear-to-ear when they recognized Uncle Lee, Lana, Daddy, Meemaw and Geega waiting at the terminal. Balloons and flowers and an exchange of lollypops.
A packed car ride home (with seat belts, unlike India) and a few hours getting settled in to her new home, Priya joined Lana in their new room and rested for a while.
They are now awake and playing together in their room. Sounds of laughter and a mix of English and Oriya are drifting downstairs, where we are trying so hard to give them some free time together without hovering over them and snapping photos.
So glad they both are home.
