Second Day in Delhi

Another great day roaming around a very hot City. Over 100 degrees. We drank 6 1-litre bottles of water and are still thirsty. Auto-rickshaw is now our favorite mode of transportation because of the open air breeze while they scream down the crowded road. For 100 Rupees, you get the thrill of about 15 or 20 miles an hour, tops, riding only 2 feet away from all the other cars and buses.

We paid the "foreigner" price and toured the Red Fort with about a million other Indians dressed in their finest clothes. During our visit, 3 different times, people approached Channing and asked her to take a picture. The first time, Channing reached for their camera, thinking she was being asked to take their picture. But to her surprise, they were asking to have their picture taken with her. They wanted Channing in the photo. So she agreed only if she could also take their picture.

We also took in the National Museum, where they appear to have a few bones of the Buddah on display. We also shopped at the Khan Market. But all the time we are still always thinking about meeting Laxmipriya in a couple of days. Almost there.

We passed the monkey temple again today, but still didn't go in.
